The Marvel Cinematic Universe grows larger every year. With each new movie and TV show, we're introduced to more interesting characters from the comics.

With so many Marvel characters to choose from, it's only natural to feel like some of them don't get the screen time they deserve. Here are 8 lesser-known Marvel characters that get major screen time in TV series.

Yelena Belova

We don't even learn of her until her appearance in the "Black Widow" movie, but audiences instantly loved her. Yelena then reprised her role in the Disney+ series "Hawkeye," where her performance was equally fantastic.

Wanda is a character we saw occasionally throughout the "Avengers" movies, but compared to many of the other Avengers she didn't get much screen time until the Disney+ series, "WandaVision." The hit series laid the groundwork for her character in "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness."

Loki is the villain you can't help but love, and his character arc throughout the movies has been satisfying. Seeing his character evolve in the Disney+ series "Loki" has audiences anticipating season 2.

Sam Wilson

Sam Wilson was introduced to the MCU during "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" as Falcon, and he's been integral to the Avengers missions ever since. As Captain America's closest friend, it's great to see him reckon with his retirement and the decision to become the new Captain America in the Disney+ series " Falcon and the Winter Soldier."

Bucky Barnes, The Winter Soldier

Bucky frequently appeared in the Avengers Movies, but we never got to see him reckon with the past as the dangerous Winter Soldier. "Falcon and The Winter Soldier" remedied audiences of his former identity which gave Bucky's character some depth.

Since most of the events of the MCU take place decades after Agent Carter retires, the only way to experience her story is to watch her series on Disney+.
